Wassermann is - next to Gas and Studio 1 - Wolfgang Voigt's most wellknown musical project. It sort of evolved out of Voigt's Profan moniker Grungerman that was experimenting with German Schlager and techno. In 2000, Wassermann had a massive hit with "W.I.R." which at the time got hammered by every reasonable and unreasonable DJ on this planet. The catchy vocoder hookline delivered the slogan for a whole generation of clubbers: "Wir machen weiter" (We'll go on)
