SOG und Freiland heißen die beiden puristischsten Projekte, unter denen Wolfgang Voigt seit nunmehr 3 Jahrzehnten seine ganz eigene Minimal-Techno-Musik immer wieder bis auf die unverhandelbare gerade Bassdrum zurückführt. Reset. Reset. Zurück auf Null. Null plus Eins. Plus Eins heißt hier, dass sich in der Regel nur ein einziges ausreduziertes, dahingehauchtes „Geräusch“ stoisch, taumelnd, kaum tänzelnd um die Bassdrum herumbewegt. Glasklar verlässlich. Unklar warum. Ist das Konzept? Im Zweifelsfall ja.
Anlässlich seiner Ausstellung „SOG“ in der micro galerie in Köln-Mülheim hat Wolfgang Voigt 5 neue, exklusive SOG Stücke vorgelegt, die nahtlos an einige ihrer Vorgänger anknüpfen bzw. darüber hinausgehen. Das Ganze kommt als limitierte Direktschnittplatte (Dubplate) plus handgemachtem, seriellen Unikat – 30cm x 30cm / Silberschmuckband und bedrucktes Papier auf Aluminiumplatte.
Tanzbare Kunst.
SOG - Die Ausstellung - steht ganz im Zeichen der „Kunst des Weglassens“, musikalisch und bildnerisch. Erstmalig wird eine kleine aber feine Auswahl minimalistischer Entwürfe zu sehen sein, deren wie scheinbar beiläufig entstandene, serielle Zeichen- und Loop-Symbolik, einen zeitlosen Bogen von den Nullerjahren bis zu den Aluminium-basierten Arbeiten der Gegenwart spannt.
Musikalisch wird, nach angemessener sound-installativer Einschwingung, DJ Max „oskø“ Hytrek ganz im Geiste des Abends für transparente Unterhaltung sorgen und dem Loop den Weg in die Nacht zeigen.

SOG and Freiland are the names of the two most purist projects under which Wolfgang Voigt has been developing his very own minimal techno music for three decades, repeatedly reducing it to the non-negotiable straight bass drum. Reset. Reset. Back to zero. Zero plus one. Plus one here means that, as a rule, only a single, reduced, whispered "noise" moves stoically, staggering, barely dancing around the bass drum. Crystal clear and reliable. Unclear why. Is that a concept? In case of doubt, yes.
On the occasion of his art-exhibition “SOG” at the micro gallery in Köln-Mülheim, Wolfgang Voigt has presented 5 new, exclusive SOG pieces that seamlessly connect to some of their predecessors, or go beyond them. The whole thing comes as a limited edition direct-cut record (dubplate), plus a handmade, serial unique piece – 30cm x 30cm / silver jewelry band and printed paper on aluminum plate.
Danceable art.
SOG - The art-exhibition - is entirely dedicated to the "art of omission", both musically and visually. For the first time, a small but exquisite selection of minimalist artworks will be on display, whose seemingly casual, serial- and loop symbolism spans a timeless arc from the noughties to the aluminum-based works of the present day.
Musically, after a suitable sound-installation warm-up, DJ Max “oskø” Hytrek will provide transparent entertainment in the spirit of the evening and show the loop the way into the night.
