Andy Stott's sophomore full-length "Luxury Problems" on Modern Love is probably the biggest splash of cutting-edge dub music this year. The Manchester producer "found a new world of atmosphere and texture" in his tracks, staking out a position somewhere between Theo Parrish and Sade slowed down to 100 bpm. Recommended by Resident Advisor and Pitchfork, "Luxury Problems" is a mature headphones album from an artist who just found his sound. "A breakthrough", to use RA's words.
