Of Wolfgang Voigt's countless conceptual series, his Project SOG with its stoicist denial minimalism stands out as the most consistent statement for the radicalization, glorification and expansion, for the world domination of the straight bass drum. From the first fragile-filigree 12inch SOG 1, released in 2007 on Kompakt Extra/Speicher, to the album "For The Love Of God" (Profan CD 12), which, with its stainless steel bass drum forged on the anvil and marching through for an hour, thematizes the eponymous, diamond-studded skull of the British large-scale artist Damien Hirst.

Music is trump. Music is blunt. Blunt is trump.

Von der ersten, bereits 2007 auf Kompakt Extra/Speicher erschienen, fragil-filigranen Maxi SOG 1 bis zum Album "For The Love Of God” (Profan CD 12), das mit einer auf dem Amboss geschmiedeten, einstündig durchmarschierenden Edelstahl-Bassdrum, den gleichnamigen, mit Diamanten besetzten Totenschädel des britischen Großraum-Künstlers Damien Hirst thematisiert.
