Matias Aguayo certainly wasn't idle since his last Kompakt release ("I Don't Smoke" from 2011) - as his 2013 full-length "The Visitor" readily proves. But it did feel a little bit like a return when his upcoming EP "Legende" was announced, a return not only to Kompakt, the label, but also to a set of sounds that harks back to the artist's earlier work, solo or with iconic project "Closer Musik". The new tracks on "Legende" will both continue and alterate Matias' well-established aesthetic canon, drawing from all stages in his production career und ultimately synthesizing various sonic strains into a wholly new listening experience. From lyrically charged late night stompers to slow-burning, slightly psychotic synth jams, you'll find a lot to love on this one - expect "Legende" to drop on October 6th and stay tuned for more info.
