Raxon: Sound Of Mind Remixes

Over the past decade, Egyptian-born, Barcelona-based DJ and techno producer RAXON has popped out a steady stream of twelve-inch singles, precision-tooled, for labels like Cocoon, Drumcode, Diynamic, Truesoul, and Ellum Audio. He boarded the Kompakt mothership with last year’s “Sound Of Mind” (KOMPAKT 433). A long-awaited debut album that is both for the dancefloor and the boudoir, traversing the heat of the club and the warmth of the home.

And now, “Sound Of Mind” got the remix treatment. Raxon takes on his ambient cut “Exit Station” and churns it into a minimal stomper. We welcome Japan’s Wata Igarashi and he doesn’t disappoint delivering his signature trance fuelled techno to album favourite “El Multiverse”….last, but not least, the legendary duo Extrawelt went so far as to create two distinctly different remixes of “Droid Solo”.

In den letzten zehn Jahren hat der in Ägypten geborene und in Barcelona lebende DJ und Techno-Produzent RAXON eine ganze Reihe von 12-inches auf Labels wie Cocoon, Drumcode, Diynamic, Truesoul und Ellum Audio veröffentlicht. Mit dem Album “Sound Of Mind” (KOMPAKT 433) ging er dann letztes Jahr an Bord des KOMPAKT-Mutterschiffs. Ein Album, das sowohl für den Dancefloor als auch für die eigenen vier Wände geeignet ist und dabei sowohl die Hitze des Clubs als auch die Wärme des eigenen Zuhauses durchmisst.

Nun hat "Sound Of Mind" eine Überarbeitung per Remixes erhalten. Raxon nimmt sich seinen Ambient-Track "Exit Station" vor und verwandelt ihn in einen minimalen Stomper. Mit dem Japaner Wata Igarashi begrüßen wir einen unserer derzeitigen Lieblingsproduzenten, und natürlich enttäuscht er uns nicht, indem er "El Multiverse" mit seinem unverkennbaren Trance-Techno veredelt. Zu guter Letzt ging das legendäre Duo Extrawelt an den Start, um zwei sehr unterschiedliche Remixe von "Droid Solo" zu erstellen.
