Wolfgang Voigt is at it again, rebooting one of his musical favorites under a new programmatic project name. This time, it's his well-documented predilection for tuba informing the latest Protest release. While the A-side sees the tuba courting nonchalant shuffle techno à la Speicher in true ZZ Top fashion, we witness it roweling the bass drum on the flipside, once more riding into vertiginous heights of abstract atonality, by way of the often-varied Voigtian "three-against-four-beat" as known from Mike Ink's classic "Rosenkranz". Watch out, it's art! Furthermore, December 13th will see Wolfgang Voigt performing his special live set "Rückverzauberung" at Berghain as part of the club's 10 year anniversary celebration. Save the date if you're in Berlin - more info here! You can expect a string of more outstanding releases from Voigt next year on his iconic Profan imprint, kicking off with the exclusive compilation "Protest - Versammlung 1", due February 15th.
