Balayage’s mini-album »24 FPS« is the third artist release on Martin Hossbach Score, a sub-label dedicated to music that could be used for films, both as an underscore or as source music – a library to which everyone has access through download or streaming platforms.
Balayage are Garagen Uwe and Sebastian Gieck, two musicians and producers who work at their own Miami Nice Studios in Berlin-Marzahn. It is their second release with Martin Hossbach, the first being a cover version of Pet Shop Boys’s »Being Boring« featuring Martha Rose and Drangsal, which was put out on the sub-label Martin Hossbach Cover and became a minor streaming hit. (The song was also featured on the infamous »Martin Hossbach Covers« compilation.) Balayage have two further connections to Martin Hossbach’s label. They produced (and played on) two albums Hossbach released in 2020 and 2021: Martha’s Rose’s »Undress & Dive After« and Alexander Winkelmann’s »Danke der Nachfrage«.
Garagen Uwe is a drummer, keyboarder, producer and session musician, he plays with e.g. Die Heiterkeit/Stella Sommer, All Diese Gewalt and Martha Rose. Sebastien Gieck is a bass player, keyboarder and session musician, he plays with e.g. Martha Rose, Tom Gregory and Gil Ofarim.
