Composer Max Rieger says: »I felt it was my task to lay bare the emotional world of the protagonists. A world that perhaps they themselves are not fully aware of or familiar with — a world that keeps vanishing behind their own selves. The instruments used were a modular synthesizer, a piano, and, in a few moments, a guitar.«

Director Anna Roller says: »Just as the title promises, Max Rieger's music immerses me in a pastel-hued emotional landscape: delicate melancholy, followed by cautiously forward-driving bursts of euphoria, always maintaining a balance — and in doing so, finding tones for what Leif Randt so aptly described as ›anticipatory wistfulness.‹ Grounded, tactile guitar and piano sounds meet electronic textures, forming an emotional counterpoint to the irony of the songs in the film.«
