Ancient Rain Koss Aka Kuniyuki

Koss is an experimental sound project of kuniyuki. Kuniyuki is well known as deep house producer who have released from Spiritual Life, 2000black, Lifeline and his home “Mule Musiq”. His releases have been supported by people from F. Kevorkian, Joe Claussell, Larry Heard, and David Mancuso to Luciano, Minilogue and Carsten Nicolai. Carsten Nicolai invited Koss to his label showcase concert at the most academic venue in Japan called Ycam. After the splendid last album which included four long tracks “Four Worlds Converge As One”, Koss aka Kuniyuki returns with this beautiful ambient album. The album kicks off with the floating ambient song “Dream” and goes deeper with the next song “Ocean Wave” which the recorded wave sound and dark slow house and some introspective ambient songs of “Jumoku”,”Ancient Rain” and “Memory”. Koss expressed his thought about the ambient music from now to past on 1978 to 2008. The album goes into the ending with the illusory classical sound of “Beauty” and “Odyssey”. The last song “Dream” which is featured oriental harp sound is suitable for the ending of this beautiful album. If you knew about Kuniyuki but didn't know about Koss or you liked the Kuniyuki release but didn't like the Koss release,please have a little time to check this new album. This is the nicest Koss album yet.
