It’s a little bit scandalous that the official auto.matic.mix hasn’t been released earlier: For almost ten years now, Tobias Schmid and Stefan Sieber keep the flag flying for electronic dance music in Augsburg. Even more, they’ve influenced a whole generation of DJs, musicians and the average party crowd with their monthly auto.matic.music shows. auto.matic.music has broken ground at club Kerosin, which became all of a sudden the epicentre of straight base drums in Augsburg. „More space for Minimal“ has been Sieber’s and Schmid’s motto, but in contrary they’ve partied already maximal. The first time doesn’t have to be necessarily only in shorts like Jake Fairley celebrated his first live gig in Augsburg. The joy of excess as well cultivating their guest’s friendship always belonged to the myth of auto.matic.music. These are only two reasons why so many friends were part of the show evenings of guys from Augsburg over a decade: Sometimes Robag Wruhme comes spontaneously by for turning the tables, Tobias Thomas proved himself several times as defence at the auto.matic.soccer tournament. No other than Marek Hemmann or Paul Kalkbrenner played in Augsburg, long before they became household names to the (raver) majority. Today, after the closing of Kerosin, auto.matic.music moved to Schwarzes Schaf, a little imperium actually: The frequent club soirees are joined by an annual open air called auto.matic.OPEN and the massive auto.matic.weekender (for which even Sven Väth has brought himself to come to Augsburg after perceived decades) and last but not least the very relaxed auto.matic.BBQ. What’s left is the spirit, which finally found its way on an official mix CD that combines some of the biggest euphoria giants of the last auto.matic.music years - Stefan Sieber and Tobias Schmid simply call it „Love Songs“. The duo has knowingly allowed it’s time and put a lot of effort in the track selection and licensing, they chose their „Love Songs“ with love. On auto.matic.mix you’ll find hits of the glorious and good old Kerosin times („Camino del Sol“ or „The Difference It Makes“) next to newer stunners and pieces of the inner circle such as Robag Wruhme’s edit of Audision track „Yellow Sunset“, which lets the sun rise rather than lets it go down! Them all are on the auto.matic.mix CD, the longstanding friends: Ada, Koze, Sascha Funke, Superpitcher, Lawrence. Twelve tracks, twelve times neat love. With their mix CD Tobias Schmid and Stefan Sieber say THANK YOU to ten years of auto.matic.music. And they keep on going. Everything else would be a scandal indeed!
