Beyond My Control Kolombo

Kolombo, the Belgian powerhouse and one of the most respected names in the global electronic scene, drops his latest EP, "Beyond My Control", on DOC Records —and it’s nothing short of fire.

With a signature style that fuses house and minimal elements, his EP presents a journey of organic and modular music, unfolding in its own unique flow.

This three-tracker presents Kolombo doing what he does best: bending genres and blending vibes. The opening track, "Beyond My Control" kicks things off superbly with a groovy indie dance energy with vocal phrases that brings an introspective touch. If you know Kolombo, you know he’s not new to this game. The guy’s been around, dropping gems on legendary labels like Kompakt, Turbo, Diynamic, Noir Music, Suara, and Snatch!, to name a few. He’s got tracks that have been rinsed on dancefloors everywhere, from Berlin to Brazil, Tomorrowland to Warung Beach Club. And speaking of Brazil, he’s basically an honorary local at this point, smashing major festivals and clubs across the country.

Grégoire is also part of the highly touted Mugwump outfit, a leftfield house duo launched with Belgian dance music pioneer Geoffroy Mugwump in 2008. Together, their recordings have landed on electronic music’s most discerning labels, including DJ Hell’s Gigolo, as well as Kompakt, R&S,Cocoon, !K7, ThroneOf Blood, Misericord, International Feel, Permanent Vacationand Endless Flight.
