Cabin Fever refers to the distressing claustrophobic irritability or restlessness experienced when a person, or group, is stuck at an isolated location or in confined quarters for an extended period of time. With this in mind, and with social isolation measures in full power worldwide, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Soniculture decided to invite its artists to participate in a compilation to decompress the stress and resort to the global language of music. It worked!
As a result, six superb tracks with different styles be them in the direction of more powerful techno like Alex Randal’s “Civil Union” and Robert Hoff’s “Penumbra” or more mental like “Can’t Deal” by Apart and “The Tip of It” by Expander, which adds a bit of trance to the mix. Billy Dalessandro jumps to a super groovy tone bringing happiness to the lot with “Grab a Beer”, while Karkata shows his first track “The Doom Loop”, announcing in this way a new project that will be developed in the future and become very famous. These are difficult times that we are living but never forget that music will always be keeping us all connected. STAY SAFE.
