Chymera EP Vomee

After an already impressive release on D Edge back in 2015, Italian artist Vomee aka Gianluca de Girolamo is back with two more fantastic cuts, while VII Circle provides a top remix. As well as this label, Vomee—formerly a duo but now a solo act—has also released on Be Free Recordings and always cooks up moody and atmospheric techno that is full of depth.

Opening track Chymera proves that with rubbery drums and silky synths seducing you and hypnotising you as it goes. It’s a sci-fi number with a sense of menace in the bass and is sure to win over any dance floor. Next up, Eclipse is another spine tingling, spacious and eerie cut with sleepy melodies and dark drones all adding to these feeling that you are racing through outer space.

Italian pair Andrea Vallisneri and Andrea Casari aka VII Circle from Stem Records then remix. They do so with real skill and delicacy as they re-imagine the cut as a wide open, cavernous and deep techno groove that is truly spell binding with its warm pads and zoned out moods.

Each one of the futuristic tracks here prove Vomee has a fine grasp of groove and this marks another excellent release on D Edge.
