Kintar once again joins forces with Medusa Odyssey on the stunning Cumbe EP, featuring Bahramji on vocals and his Persian santur string instrument. Kintar is based in Ibiza, has released music on labels such as Watergate, Monaberry and MoBlack, and often features in the Beatport charts. Throughout summer 2019, he was resident at Pacha Ibiza and has also played all around the world. He works here with Medusa Odyssey, who are true musicians at heart and have created a distinctive brand of electronic live performance with synthesizers, electric guitar, flutes, vocals and a drum machine. They hail from Argentina and have been living and working in Ibiza for many years. Their music is heavily influenced by their South American roots. The final part of the puzzle is Bahramji, a Kurdish new age musician and percussionist from Iran who plays the Persian santur, a traditional stringed instrument which is said to create the sound of emptiness. This stunning collaborative production is an incredible blend of Arabic elements with Latin flavours on the Cuzco mix. The percolating drums are big and bouncy, the string sounds intoxicating and the vocal chants really get you in the zone. The excellent Papua mix has had early support from the King of Afro house himself, Black Coffee. It is a heavyweight tune with tension in the synth vamps and magic in the melodies.
