Die EP Forever Sweet
„Die EP“ marked the second and already last release by Forever Sweet on their own in-house label back in 1995. Shortly after the band – following the promises of big money and fame – embarked to new shores to produce more sweet 12inches, remixes, an album and to win a silver record. By the end of the millenium the group broke up in all quietness.
„Die EP“ sounds more mature, pop-influenced, playful and complex. Once again garnished with childlike and colorful victorian scrap pictures the record is crowned by a real smash hit of its time: »Bleed«, a track played by Michael Mayer and Tobias Thomas in their DJ sets until today is a naive but smart homage of some of their musical heroes between Nu Groove House and early Warp Techno. And above all to the the great king of Bleeps & Clonks, Sweet Exorcist.

„Die EP“ von 1995 war die zweite und leider auch schon letzte 12inch von Forever Sweet, die noch auf dem hauseigenen Label erschien, bevor es die Band - dem Ruf des großen Geldes folgend - in die Ferne zog, wo sie immerhin weitere süße Maxis, Remixe, ein Album und eine Silberne Schallplatte hervorbrachten, um sich Ende des Jahrtausends in aller Stille aufzulösen.
„Die EP“ klingt deutlich reifer, poppiger, verspielter und vielschichtiger als ihre Vorgängerin. Gekrönt wird die wieder mit kindlich-bunten Glanzbildern verzierte Schallplatte von „Bleed“, einem veritablen Clubhit seiner Zeit, der sich heute noch in den DJ Sets von Michael Mayer und Tobias Thomas wiederfindet. Zwischen jugendlicher Naivität und popkulturellem Instinkt fröhnen die drei Boys hier ungehemmt ihren musikalischen Helden zwischen frühem Nu Groove-House und Warp-Techno, allen voran dem großen König der Bleeps & Clonks, Sweet Exorcist.
