Dreamless Sleep EP The Black Dog

The Black Dog presents four tracks on the Dreamless Sleep EP, exploring the state of mind where conscious experiences are absent. This mental state, which we call Neither Neither, has been a theme in our previous work. With this EP, we return to that concept, further developing ideas introduced in Sleep Deprivation. Dreamless Sleep is a deep phase of non-REM sleep, where conscious awareness fades away and the brain enters a restorative, slow-wave state. It plays a key role in physical recovery, releasing growth hormones and repairing tissues, while also aiding memory consolidation. With reduced brain activity and lowered heart rate, this stage allows for complete rest, free from the vivid experiences of dreams. Close your eyes and think of England - wet and grey.
