As Sascha is a native (East-) Berliner, deeply involved in technohouse history from the very beginning, he can hardly stay with his already achieved knowledge of producing funky Cologne-style techtrax. His third release for Kompakt testifies the restless effort of this young talent - still hungry and on the hunt for excitement and progression. The epic A1 track touches the dancer's heart with its dreamy pop feel. There's another brilliant rocking techno piece on the flipside reminding us of Funke's friendly relationship to Berlin's fresh Bpitch Control outlet.
Als gebürtiger (Ost-)Berliner, der von Anfang an tief in die Techno- und House-Geschichte involviert war, kann Sascha Funke sich nicht auf seinem Wissen um die Produktion von funky Minimal im Kölner Stil ausruhen. Sein drittes Release für KOMPAKT beweist dies und sein unbestritten großes Talent eindrücklich. Sascha ist und bleibt immer hungrig und auf der Jagd nach neuer Aufregung und Fortschritt. Der epische A1-Track berührt das Herz des Tänzers mit seinem verträumten Pop-Feeling. Auf der Flipside befindet sich ein weiteres tolles, eher rockiges Techno Stück, das uns an Funkes enge und freundschaftliche Beziehung zum Bpitch Control-Label erinnert.
