Golden Apple EP Junto Club

For the past ten years, Junto Club have continued to defy genre boundaries while producing a sound that is distinctively their own. ‘Golden Apple’ continues in this vein, capturing a range of styles, from the fast-paced title track to the dub-inspired ‘San Worm’ and the pop hook of ‘The Answer.’ Initial drafts, chaotic and abstract, were brought to life at Green Door Studio before being sent to Emily and Stu Evans in the Californian desert for the final mix and arrangement. Sascha Funke then took on the mission of reimagining ‘Golden Apple’ towards a more hynoptic groove.

Drawing inspiration from the dystopian future that climate breakdown forewarns, ‘Golden Apple’ is a compact genre shifting creation that speaks to our times.
