Halo Green Lake Project
We now received the third and last part of the sound protocol from Green Lake Project that heralds the approach of their new album. A recording named Halo hurls us into the gravitational force field of a cosmic event which emits as much energy in its seven minutes playtime as the sun in the centre of our planetary system emits in seven millenia. The sharp acid frequencies of a TB303 etch into the throbbing sonic texture, tearing open rips through which a vocal sample from rave days long gone seep into this more than solid piece of dance music from the future. The binary counterpart is The Citadel, a recording characterised by silky, smooth melodies and phased stages of propulsion, sending us into the endlessness that extends behind the horizon of our human imagination.
Nun haben wir den dritten und letzten Teil des Sound-Protokolls empfangen, mit dem uns Green Lake Project auf ihr neues Album eingrooven. Mit der Aufnahme Halo werden wir ins Gravitationsfeld eines kosmischen Ereignisses geschleudert, das in seinen sieben Erdminuten so viel Energie freisetzt wie die Sonne in der Mitte unseres Planetensystems in sieben Jahrtausenden. Die scharfen Acid-Frequenzen einer TB303 ätzen Risse ins pulsierende Klanggewebe, durch die ein Vocal-Sample aus längst vergangenen Rave-Tagen in diese Tanzmusik der Zukunft sickert. Der binäre Gegenpart dazu nennt sich The Citadel und schickt uns mit seidig-geschmeidig fließenden Melodien und punktgenau gezündeten Antriebsstufen auf eine Mission in die endlosen Weiten hinter dem Horizont unseres Vorstellungsvermögens.
