After ELIF’S her debut on Anjunadeep in 2019, the Istanbul producers melodic, emotive and versatile music has since been found on Stil Vor Talent, A Tribe Called Kotori and now soon to be The Gardens of Babylon.
She collaborates with Nhii, who defines his sound as borderless, powerful electronic music. Based in New York, it can be an overwhelming sound pot of influences, yet you can experience an enormous variety of cultures. This is what he takes and drives into his productions. Whilst being A&R for Sounds Of Khemit, releases have graced Kindisch and Pipe & Pochet.
Title track ‘Hawa’ begins with beautifully crafted percussion elements that really encapsulate summer. Subtle bass and edgy synths really bring the track to life. ‘Hawa’ is such a captivating journey. B-side ‘Coup De Foudre’ comes straight in with some deep bodied kicks, elegant synths and perfectly placed percussion. Subtle arpeggio’s bring this beauty alive before breaking down in to peace and tranquillity. A slick production that effortlessly takes your breath away.
Washington DC based curator of dark and infectious groove Enamour is on remix duties. He rounds off this stunning release with deep bodied kicks, crisp percussion and some elusive eerie sounds. It’s rasping synths feature until the end, turning sunsets into sunrises.
