Orakull is quite a trip: The title starts as an electroacoustic dance tune, with distinctly analogue vibes and copious a voice that shifts between spoken word hypnosis and emotive singing. And then, the thing rears up into a crescendo of distortion, and all of a sudden we find ourselves dancing to an escalating rock song. The Timboletti remix presents itself in a stripped-down manner, here the rock attitude of the original reflects in the bold bite of the bassline. As it is the signature style of this talented producer, this version feels blissfully tripped-out around the vocal. The Kishe Kishe remix by Florian Rietze leads us into the vaults of a huge industrial building, where big, banging, broken beats reverberate in the dark. In the depths of this club night, the vocal sparkles like a green laser beam.
