Time has never been a fixed concept. It dissolves, stretches, and bends to the rhythm of our experiences. And it is within this flow that BRVNOV presents the Hourglass EP, a work that reflects not only his artistic vision but also his evolution as a musician and producer. Marking a new chapter in DOC Records after releasing Bloom at the end of 2024, this new EP navigates more atmospheric soundscapes, where the dance floor gives way to a more introspective and sophisticated construction. 'Hourglass' explores breakbeat with ethereal textures, immersive synthesizers, and a melodic drive that translates the impermanence of time—always in motion, yet never truly within our grasp. Meanwhile, 'Lucky Star' assumes a nearly cinematic tone, a downtempo track that carries the delicacy of a personal tribute, dedicated to someone who brought light to his journey. BRVNOV is an artist who built a musical background more connected to the progressive scene and has great influences such as Sasha, Chicane, Underworld, and Gui Boratto; in some way, the singular touch of these artists is present in BRVNOV's creations, but they do not define the limits of the work he conceives. On the contrary, Hourglass reaffirms BRVNOV's versatility as an artist who inhabits multiple spaces: a successful entrepreneur, multi-instrumentalist musician, music producer, and now also proves to be an excellent storyteller.
