Danny Parton presents a new three-track EP for Jolene Records fourteenth release, showcasing a more cosmic leaning side of his sonic palette.

A co-founder of Jolene Records and a driving force behind its distinctly warm, groove-led sound, Danny Parton steps forward with a new project to showcase a broader vision of the label’s sonic identity. Drawing on a deep-rooted appreciation for ‘90s house, disco and more, here Parton’s productions balance musicality and dancefloor function with an effortless finesse, reflecting both his individual artistry and the refined sonic world he’s helped shape through Jolene.

Sondhell’ opens the release with a tightly woven blend of choppy stab motifs, swelling atmospherics and rugged low-end, underpinned by a fluid, propulsive rhythm and flickering synth detail, punctuated by fractured vocal chants. ‘Be Quiet’ follows, shifting into a more cinematic space through soaring string arrangements, bubbling arpeggios and a winding bassline, all anchored by crisp, swinging drums.

Closing the EP, ‘Tower Road’ leans into a deeper, more introspective mood, pairing soulful vocal passages with a laid-back, organic groove and intricately layered synth work, gradually unfolding into an uplifting, ever-evolving finale.
