Lisa Dj Spell

Dj Spell was born in 1978 in Perm. He started to collect music at 3 when he got a reel recorder from his father. In 1992 he finished the musical school N5 in Perm. When Dj Spell finished his 9th year at school, he passed three qualification rounds and entered the Specialized Education and Science Centre of the Moscow University and moved to Moscow, where he started to collect vinyl records and try to produce electronic music. In 1998 Dj Spell appears at the Station radio (106.8 FM) in the Dj Uho program. Before the closure of the Station radio Dj Spell had been a frequent night Dj guest of its programs. Alongside with work at the radio Dj Spell performs in different underground clubs in Moscow (Proton, MDM etc.). He leaves the underground scene and starts working actively as a Dj. His activity develops in two directions: underground music (Techno, Hard House, Minimal Techno) and mainstream (Progressive, Tribal House, Electroclash, Electro-Techno-Pop, Deep House). Apart from active work as a Dj, Dj Spell worked as a partymaker under the PromoGroup label. PromoGroup organizes parties with the performances of Russian electronic music projects. After a series of such parties a limited release (promo-mix) of the Russian electronic music takes place (Dj Dima Spell - PromoGroup Russian electronic music). In January 2002 NNRecords releases his own project Restless Dream (experimental electronic music). Dj Spell has played in the following Moscow night clubs: Phlegmatic Dog, Slava, Sufle (Souffle), Fresh, Defile, Byblos, Proton, Gorod, B2, Open Cafe, Stereo, Sur-Cafe, Beach Klub, Tochka etc. Main directions: House, Techno-House, Electroclash, Electro-Synth-Pop, Deep House, as well as Minimal Techno and Techno at special parties. He played in Warsaw, Riga, Brest, Yerevan, Krasnodar, Rostov, Kharkov, Murmansk, Gomel, Minsk, Perm, Chelyabinsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Volgograd, Kolomna, Noginsk etc. He also performed at local radio and TV stations. In march 2005 techno remix on Danish project "Dj Daniel & Hansen" was released on a europe based label Tic Tac Toe Records . The record got a lot of positive feedback and support from worlds top djs such as Laurent Garnier, Ivan Smagghe (Blackstrobe), Mathias Kaden, Reynold, John Tejada, Mike Shannon, Mathias Schaffhauser, James Flavour (Dirt Crew), Ewan Pearson, Anja Schneider, Patrick Bateman(Tic Tac Toe Records). For a long period of time it stayed in the top 30 (reaching number 6 ) of best selling records in one of the biggest vinylshops in Germany. Second dub house remix was released on USA synth-pop label " A Different Drum". In November 2003 he debuted in the Dura movie (Mosfilm studio, directed by Maxim Korostyshevsky). Today Dj Spell takes an active part in the night club scene of the Russia.
