Eric D. Clark with FIRM’s founder Thomas Schaeben, of Kompakt's first hour duo Schaeben&Voss, regularly met in the Cologne based FIRM studio to create and build.
The ensuing result are seven smashing bangers between LoFi-discofunpunk and Hi NRG-hothouse gospel trancefunk without anything scrupulous in their way, no thinking, rethinking or calculating the ideas they put together: hence the moniker FREE RADICALS!
A result of numerous crazy live recording sessions with like minded artists: David Boswell, Dirk Leyers, Anita Davis and Heiko Voss!
“LoFi Hi-NRG” is supposed to be played loud and vinylized, we suggest… The Direction.
