Hello and welcome to the new decade. We're kicking off the 10's with a smash from the 00's - as a hinge between the decades, so to say. Ada's “LOVESTONED” was everybody's favourite track from her fabulous “ADAPTATIONS” album, a milestone of romatic techno with vocal support by Raz O'Hara. One of this song's biggest admirers is President Bongo of GUSGUS fame. Together with Jack Shidt he forms the dynamic duo GLUTEUS MAXIMUS which already caused a stir with their amazing remix for SIGUR ROS “GOBBLEDIGOOK” on KOMPAKT POP. Their Lovestoned remix is astounding, too. Sex, modern, efficient without losing one gramm of soul. The flipside is taken care of Gui Boratto who is never far away when techno meets pop in such a sensitive way. His remix makes all great things from the original a bit greater and it's pushing the romance factor to the max. Great job, comme d'habitude!
Hallo und willkommen im neuen Jahrzehnt. Wir starten die 10er Jahre mit einem Hit aus den ooer Jahren, quasi als Scharnier zwischen den Dekaden. Adas “LOVESTONED” war everybodys Lieblingstrack auf ihrer fabulösen Werkschau “Adaptations”, ein Meilenstein der Technoromantik mit vokaler Unterstützung von Raz O'Hara. Einer der hartnäckigsten Verehrer dieses Songs ist President Bongo on GusGus. Zusammen mit Jack Shidt bildet er das Gespann GLUTEUS MAXIMUS, welches schon auf der neulich erschienenen SIGUR ROS Remixmaxi auf KOMPAKT POP zu reüssieren wusste. Ihr Ada Remix ist nicht minder erstaunlich - knallmodern und effizient ohne auch nur ein Gramm Seele einzubüssen. Des weiteren war es ein Leichtes Gui Boratto zu verpflichten. Wenn Pop und Techno derart innig auf der Parkbank schmusen, dann hält es ihn auch nicht auf dem Stuhl. Sein Remix macht alles was am Original gross war noch ein bischen grösser und dürfte damit auf grösseren Floors so manches Geschmuse anzetteln. Voila, weitermachen.
