Morocco's Cee ElAssaad links with South African vocalist Bongi Mvuyana for the stunning new Afro house single 'Njalo' on connected.
Cee ElAssaad takes great inspiration from the exotic plains of his homeland and turns out organic house sounds that brim with distinctive personality. His mix of house, afrobeat, soul, jazz and hip-hop has taken him to labels like Ibadan, the top of the Traxsource charts and now, after a collaboration with acclaimed singer-songwriter Thandi Draai on connected, he is back, this time with Bongi Mvuyana. 'Njalo' is an immediately enchanting track thank to the sublime synths. Their spiritual energy marries with the spine tinging vocal from Mvuyana. She sings in isiZulu about fighting poverty, hunger and suffering. The warm drums make for an elegant rhythm sprinkled with percussion and expansive synths.
