As if a giant 3D printer would pile up the stage set of a sci-fi noir production around you in real-time: That’s how the complex, continuously self-calibrating and functionally optimizing layers of rhythm on the Olympia EP feel. As a fascinating twist, the interaction and communication between these machine-like elements makes the groove of Azpecialguest feel intelligent, alive – there’s a soul in here. And so the three tracks present themselves as a captivating mix of machine-like movements and human emotions. Produced with perfection of a laser cutter and glistening like metal parts gliding smoothly in the twilight these tracks are tailored for the peak hours on a big sound system.
Als würde ein gigantischer 3D-Drucker die Filmkulisse einer Sci-Fi Noir Produktion in Echtzeit um dich herum aufschichten: So fühlen sich die vertrackten, sich immer wieder neu kalibrierenden und funktional optimierenden Rhythmus-Ebenen der Olympia EP an. Dabei ist es gerade die interaktive, miteinander kommunizierende Komplexität jener Hi-Tech Elemente, die dem Groove von Azpecialguest etwas Intelligentes, Lebendiges einhaucht– etwas Beseeltes. Die drei Tracks sind also eine faszinierende Mischung aus maschinellen Bewegungen und menschlichen Gefühlen. Mit der Präzision einer Laser-Fräse produziert und glitzernd wie gleitende Metallteile im Halbdunkel ist dieser Sound für die Spitzenzeit auf einer großen Anlage designt.
