Dj Fudge and Kiko Navarro both veteran dance producers with many memorable releases between them over the years formed this collaboration after Fudge invited Kiko to play with him in Hong Kong where Fudge resides. Kiko had visited Singapore en route and had visited a Steve Reich concert which in his words “blew my mind’. As they commenced a recording session , recounting his experience’ i tried to explained and from there all the piano parts on Omau Baba happened. We first titled that demo "Piano Loco" which means crazy piano, because yes, somehow it was... We left that demo for 1 or 2 years and Fudge listened to it again and phoned me saying, hey Kiko just listened to that demo and its great! lets work on it. He booked me to play at this venue a month later and we finished it adding the vocals’. The resulting track ‘Omau Baba’ certainly contains the ’crazy piano’ but also is driven by great percussion , pumping bass and the chanting/sung voices that make this track a real AfroTech dance floor special.
