One Cycle EP MLZ

Every new record from MLZ doesn’t quite fit in with the one that preceded it, something that’s doubly true for this new release. 'One Cycle’ on the A-side is probably the most fierce, stripped and relentless thing ever released by Modern Love, a classic reduction that rotates into a frenzied crescendo of panning stabs and a washed out, chugging backbone that doesn’t let-up throughout its 7 minute duration. The flipside offers up something else entirely, a remix for hitherto unknown operator Dj Ghosthunter, a shady character not quite ready to unmask himself. MLZ’s remix offers a dank and obliterated House configuration, guided by the spirit of Theo Parrish and KDJ.
