connected welcomes elusive Russian artist Gleb Filipchenkow for a new package that features vocalists Remo and Ode and remixes from G-POL and Anturage & Alexey Union.
Gleb Filipchenkow is an elusive producer who is happy to let his music do the talking. It has come on labels like Keinemusik's VOD and he has worked with Remo before now, often straddling the worlds of melodic and Afro house in his own way.
Opener 'Paradise' featuring Remo is a gloriously uplifting piece of house music with gorgeous strings full of optimism over the deep, heavy drums. Acoustic guitar details and a rich, soulful male vocal complete this summer classic. The superb 'La Fete' features Ode and is a more gritty cut with textured bass powering it along under lush melodies and a tense French vocal that is angsty and edgy.
The first to remix is G-POL, an esteemed Russian producer with credits on the likes of Generation HEX. His version of 'Paradise' Feat. Remo is low-slung and late-night, with intimate vocal whispers and the shuffling deep house groove casting an enchanting spell. Lastly, frequent collaborators Anturage & Alexey Union hook up once more to flip 'Paradise' Feat. Remo into a cosmically minded melodic tech cut with bass twangs and percolating synth leads.
