Echocord are proud to announce a new project called D.P. by Scott Monteith & Stefan Betke aka Deadbeat & Pole. Stefan & Scott are two of the pioneers of modern dubby sounds, and the result is amazing. Deadbeat from Montreal/Canada has appeared on a huge range of labels and compilations such as the canadian label Revolver and the Berlin label Scape. He made his debut album on Intr_version and a string of 12-inches, the 2002 long-player “Wildlife Documentaries” on Scape, reinvented the aural trademarks of dub in an almost cinematic framework. Pole is probably best known for his minimal dub sounds between the clicks and cuts of modern electronica. He founded the high acclaimed label Scape in 1999 with Barbara Preisinger. He has done 3 albums from 1998 to 2000 called blue, red and yellow and invented a new sound with his near-lengendary “Waldorf 4-pole” filter. He made 2 EP's on the Mute label and a full lenght album. Scott & Stefan teamed up to make these 2 tracks for Echocord which is an absolutely musthave for the fans of Pole, Deadbeat and Echocord
