If you are into Techno, it’s next to impossible that you have not come across Camea in your journey. Originally from America’s northwest rave scene, her move to New York in the early 00’s was pivotal in breaking her out globally as a DJ and producer. Camea’s time there was not wasted there; she founded Clink Recordings and is cited as a key member of New York’s next wave of techno – a scene that built the cornerstone of what is their current immense community and scene. Following her move to her current home Berlin, Camea joined forces with Ellen Allien’s legendary Bpitch Control as a mainstay touring artist and DJ. Fast forward to today and Camea runs the forward thinking techno imprint Neverwhere Records and in 2020 released her debut full length “Dystopian Love”.
We admit that we are long over due having Camea on SPEICHER and anticipate that time is made up as she has delivered a double header of epic Techno ferocity. “Awakening” hits where it counts – a dramatically cool, full throttle kick drum beats through an eerie mist of stabbing keys. Berlin vocalist and dear friend Saskia Krause teams up with Camea on vocals on the acid squelching, peak time ripper “Feel You”. Will Clarke has been making huge waves over recent time and reinterprets “Feel You” by immersing the original in an old school house groove. The result is massive and big room ready for the summer festival stages.

Wenn du auf Techno stehst, ist es fast unmöglich, dass dir Camea auf deiner Reise noch nicht begegnet ist. "Awakening" trifft genau den Punkt, auf den es ankommt - eine dramatisch coole, Vollgas-Bassdrum kickt durch einen dichten Nebel aus Keyboard-Chords. Die Berliner Sängerin und gute Freundin Saskia Krause singt zusammen mit Camea auf dem Acid-lastigen Peaktime-Track "Feel You". Will Clarke hat in letzter Zeit für eine Menge Furore gesorgt und interpretiert hier "Feel You" neu, indem er das Original in einen Oldschool House-Groove eintaucht. Das Ergebnis ist ein massiver und raumgreifender Song, der wie gemacht ist für die kommenden Sommerfestivals.
