A quite deepe SPEICHER for the late summer. On the A-side we find Davidovitch, who surprised us the other day with "Cellophane" on KOMPAKT EXTRA 36. "Insider" is a trippy dark 808 opera pleasantly reminiscent of the early nineties classic "Fuse" on Plus 8. On the B-side Maxime Dangles, a new addition from France, jumps directly on the planks that mean the world. "Noemie" is no less deep and trippy than the A-side, but with more of a rocky, semi-Schaffel power bass tendency that pushes madly without becoming obtrusive. A strikingly minimal melody rounds it all off perfectly. Nouvelle Vague.
Eine recht deepe SPEICHER für den Spätsommer. Auf der A-Seite finden wir Davidovitch, der uns neulich mit “Cellophane“ auf KOMPAKT EXTRA 36 überraschte. “Insider“ ist eine trippig-düstere 808 Oper, die auf angenehme Weise an den Frühneunziger-Klassiker “Fuse” auf Plus 8 erinnert. Auf der B-Seite ein Neuzugang aus Frankreich. Maxime Dangles schafft es aus dem Stand auf die Bretter, die die Welt bedeuten. “Noemie“ ist nicht weniger deep und trippig wie die A-Seite, allerdings mit mehr rockig-halbschaffeliger Powerbass-Tendenz, die irre schiebt, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu werden. Eine markant minimale Melodie rundet das ganze perfekt ab. Nouvelle Vague.
