Micro-retreats from everyday live. When the fantasy starts to roam and wanders into heights from which every day life looks very different all of a sudden. When thoughts and emotions grow into shimmering bubbles which then burst into a rain of colours. That’s how the music of Calaido feels. A new name, a new sound. Florian Rietze is part of it. However, this prolific producer is everything but new to the scene. Calaido moves and grooves with melodies that are light and uplifting - but at the same time these melodies provide a fascinating moment of hypnotic catchiness. Beats and bass do exactly what they are meant to do in a dance context. Also, there’s some rave sounds coming over for a visit from the 90s. All in all, this is good mood music to float along or to dive into.
