The Cake of Life Expander

Expander, the label boss of Soniculture, is back with a new EP containing tracks composed using a generative approach. Modular patches were made in a way that the system would produce innovative and evolving sounds following a paradigm that was devised and constructed around the base using generative algorithms. On the “The Cake of Life” an explosion of sounds make way for a creative journey carried over a strong bassline and bassdrum, while “Substrata” follows a more mysterious path although still groovy and incredibly catching with generative sounds sparkling around the stratosphere. Finally “Magnafields” follows a more experimental tone, which in itself is also a very interesting affair, with sounds coming from every direction, combining to form a unique piece of music.
