Label head Alex Niggemann joins forces with Norwegian vocalist SolPlex for a deeply personal collaboration that explores the fragile intersection between love, loss, and self-destruction. Their new two-track release “The Cure Is Poison” reflects the emotional aftermath of a relationship that once felt eternal — until it wasn’t. The opening track “I’m So High” captures the numbing haze of escapism — the attempt to drown pain in intoxication — while “Waste My Life” channels the realization of time lost, of devotion turned into disillusion. Although both tracks share a similar sonic aesthetic, they each evolve in their own way — differing in groove, tone, and emotional texture, reflecting the contrasting stages of the same inner process.
