The K2 Chapter Gui Boratto
Hear, where it all started - the love story of a label (Kompakt) and an artist (Gui Boratto). K2 was a sub-label from Kompakt that ran from 2005 to 2008: originally meant to be a platform for dancefloor friendly 12"es, it soon became a testing ground for fresh talent, with Gui Boratto being one of the most startling artists to show up on the roster. It was only a question of time, until the Brazilian mastermind would make the jump to the mothership, but these are the tracks that made it happen in the first place. And even now, they sound as infectious and visionary as they did back then.

K2 war ein Sub-Label von Kompakt, das von 2005 bis 2008 existierte: ursprünglich als Plattform für Tanzflur-freundliche 12"es gedacht, entwickelte es sich schnell zur Brutstätte für neue Talente... allen voran Gui Boratto, der sich als einer der erstaunlichsten Künstler des K2-Portfolios entpuppte. Es war wohl nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis der brasilianische Wunderproduzent den Sprung auf das Mutterschiff wagte, doch dies sind die Tracks, die es überhaupt erst möglich machten. Und selbst heute klingen sie noch so mitreißend und visionär wie damals.
