Dark and dreamy are two adjectives that very much apply to the music of ascending UK DJ and producer Pattn. Slightly dark and dreamy is also »The Way«, Pattn's debut EP for LARJ—yet he is capable of showing us the way into the light.
The fabric London regular, who also has a fabric Originals release under his belt, emits sounds in the fields of deep house, indie dance, and breaks—styles he's using in »Telepathy« and »The Way« to full effect.
Take "Telepathy," a hard-hitting four-to-the-floor track with haunting vocals (sung by the producer himself) and captivating indie soundscapes. If that isn't deep, we don't know what is.
»The Way« on the other hand, is rooted in the land of breaks and broken beats, fused with strings and horns that nod toward a youth influenced by house and disco. Pattn manipulates luring female vocals and embeds them in the same deep sounds he is so confident with.
This indeed is a way we too want to go, and we're intrigued to find out where it will lead us—and Pattn.
