Truth Hounah / Gaisma

Trip-hop architect Hounah teams up with singer and rapper Gaisma for a track that feels like both a mirror and a middle finger. Gaisma doesn't ask for permission here. She raps about blisters from pointe shoes at age ten, about being underestimated and boxed in. Does true safety exist? Are we able to control our kids, tracking them “for safety” in this age of Apple Watches, while nobody’s tracking whether they’re actually okay? Black and white, war and peace, love and hate, us and them — the oldest binaries in the book, looping on repeat like a system nobody agreed to but everyone plays along with.

The hook doesn't pick a side though. It just says: *truth wins.* Not "I'm right" — truth as in what's left when you stop performing for everyone else's approval.

Sonically, Hounah wraps it all in his signature moody, cinematic trip-hop — dusty beats, low-slung bass, thick atmosphere — giving Gaisma's voice room to move between vulnerability and defiance.

Enter Howie B. If one name signals serious sonic pedigree, it's his. The British producer has worked closely with U2 at their creative peak, collaborated with Björk and Tricky, and moved within Massive Attack's inner circle. He didn't just witness trip-hop being born — he helped write its DNA.

His remix isn't a polite reinterpretation; it's a recontextualization. Howie B strips things back, lets silence do the talking, and rebuilds the tension in a slower, smokier, more nocturnal register. Less confrontation, more comedown — the moment after the fight, when the adrenaline fades and clarity's all that's left.

"Truth" offers no easy resolutions — because there aren't any. It doesn't ask you to solve the binary. It asks you to stop letting it run you. Ask for help. Drop the ego. Do your best. Let truth do the winning for once.“
