Tu Vera ft. BAQABO Simone Glad / BONDAR

Italian-born, California-based Simone Glad blends traditional and modern sounds with ancient instruments and chants to create escapist dance floor sounds on labels like Wired and Go Deeva. Here, he links with Ukraine-born Bondar, who grew up in Chicago and is also based in California. He is inspired by the house music originators of the Windy City and has his own nuanced take on those styles.

Together the pair cooked up the majestic 'Tu Vera' feat. Baqabo. The Club Mix is an organic soundscape with soulful vocals over percussive, skipping Afro-house beats. Soft shakers infuse the groove with warmth as the vocals cast an ever more spiritual spell. Remixer FNC Omar is a regular on this label and a Moroccan mainstay of the Afro scene. His version layers in a delicate tapestry of toms and hand drums to add even more earthy feels, while some stunning acoustic melodies add an extra air of beauty.
