What does a Bosporus based lover of punk rock, riot girls and cats have in common with Acker Records, the label from the north-eastern German state called Mecklenburg? Right: A preference for stimulating and crunchy dance music that does not take itself too serious and most likely sounds refreshing independent for this very reason. Un Chien Andolou by Sarp Yilmaz represents an acoustic prolongation of summer, the atmosphere of this track is characterized by sunny guitar chords, lively castanet sounds and an Arabian flavoured scrap of singing as well as a very casual beat. Perfect conditions for the remix by Eule:nhaupt & Molle:nhauer who deliver their unmistakable earthy bounce within the bass section, driving offbeat chords and discreet horn entries in their version. The Way You Move represents dashing Funk combined with a proper pinch of Minimal House and therefore also the variation that is so characteristic for any Acker record. Also the remix by Mollono.bass meets this requirement: Keeping the atmosphere of the original during the first bars, it dives down to hypnotic depths shortly afterwards introducing eccentric and even mystical piano sounds.
