On October 23, Lake Turner's debut album LP "Videosphere" will be released on Kompakt. Turner had his first contact with Kompakt with his track "Beacon Fields", which appeared on our "TOTAL 16" compilation. Before that, Lake played in the post-punk and indie groups Great Eskimo Hoax and Trophy Wife. "Videosphere" is actually the first time he has formulated his own vision of electronic music. The lush ambient-disco-techno dreams of Videosphere were constructed and completed in his London studio and at his parents’ arable and sheep farm in Worcestershire, which might help explain the hazy, unhurried pastoralism of the album.

Am 23. Oktober erscheint das Debüt-Album LP „Videosphere“ von Lake Turner auf Kompakt. Die erste Berührung mit Kompakt hatte Turner mit seinem Track “Beacon Fields“, der auf unserer “TOTAL 16” Compilation erschien. Zuvor hat Lake in den Post-Punk- und Indie-Gruppen Great Eskimo Hoax und Trophy Wife gespielt hat. „Videosphere“ ist tatsächlich das erste Mal, dass er seine eigene Vision von elektronischer Musik formuliert. Die üppigen Ambient-Disco-Techno-Träume von "Videosphere" hat Turner in seinem Londoner Studio und auf der Schaffarm seiner Eltern in Worcestershire produziert, was den nebulösen, gemächlichen und beinahe pastoralen Charakter des Albums erklären könnte.
Vor der Veröffentlichung des Albums im Oktober ist die gleichnamige Single-Auskopplung “Videosphere“ ab sofort exklusiv im Kompakt Download-Shop erhältlich. Am 02. Oktober erscheint sie dann auf allen anderen Download- und Streaming-Plattformen.
