Rebar's 'made of Concrete' label has now amassed a cohesive catalogue of Techno with a clear aesthetic; raw, dubby sonics are presented with a greyscale finish and a mood that suits sophisticated, big-room spaces.

Jeremy P Caulfield, Markus Suckut and Alexander Kowalski have featured so far and next up is a pair of releases from propitious producer and Mötet resident Joline Scheffler backed up with a remix from long term friend of the label FS Bart.

Across a panoply of podcasts, Scheffler has showcased her deep and varied influences. Her mixes are cogent collections which draw from 90s Electronica, Dub, Deep House, Electro - and almost all other conceivable corners of Electronic music - which she manages to braid together with a consistent thread of understated class.

In the first of her 2 releases for 'made of Concrete' - Scheffler projects these influences across 2 accomplished tracks, the first of which is an exercise in rich, spectral Dub Techno. A burnt out kick ticks under a rich bed of swirling smoke as nifty hats and shakers send reverberated high frequencies darting across the surface.

'Space Sugar' then follows up with a more urgent groove. Delays, reverbs and drums are subtly manipulated in a live jam as the track rolls out to captivating effect. FS Bart then closes things up with a remix that sits in the sweet spot between murky and mobile as kinetic hats and a quick tempo propel luscious pads and flexing synth tones.
