Bikini Body say – It was really important to us with these remixes that we showcase the wide tastes and perspectives of the Scottish underground scene, showing there doesn’t have to be a divide between guitars and dance music. JD Twitch – Working with JD Twitch on Weird Party was a bit of a dream come true, having spent the last decade attending Optimo parties and following the label religiously, so to have a remix felt like a perfect memento of work together. We absolutely love the stomping, dubby intensity he’s added to Manie Sans Delire. Eyes of Others – John is a dear friend of the band and blew the roof off the Mash House when he supported us at our headline show there last year. From Manie Sans Delire, he’s created something like a DJ tool, stripping it back to an irresistible groove that will get any dancefloor moving. Junto Club – Through our love of Optimo Music, we discovered Glasgow dark disco demons Junto Club. David’s commanding, gothic vocals combined with relentless basslines and blown out drums are a match made in heaven for Chivas, Dunhills, Coke. Smiff – An Edinburgh super talent; a master of big, bassy, percussive techno who’s caught our eye at various parties over the last couple of years. Smiff has a fantastic ear for percussion and we knew he could take Mr Tinnitus and make it sound like something we’ve never heard before. Jock Fox – We’ve played with Jock Fox a couple of times in Glasgow and absolutely loved the theatre of his live sets, somewhere between industrial, post punk, happy hardcore and breaks. When we bumped into him at Kelburn Garden Party last year and he kindly offered to remix Bond Girl, we leapt at the offer!
