Kompakt Returns To Barcelona June 19 - 21

In June, we return to Barcelona with two major events: Kompakt night at Nitsa on June 19th, and the Kompakt Open Air on June 21st. For over a decade, Nitsa has hosted Kompakt's annual Friday gathering at Barcelona’s best and oldest club Apolo, held in the same regard Berghain and Fabric. For this year, we are proud to bring you one of our most diverse and exciting events ever - yes, we can confirm that the reports are true: the purveyors of fine chill out, Alex Patterson and Thomas Fehlmann aka The Orb have signed up. More details on this to follow, but fans will be guaranteed a very special live show. Furthermore, London’s Rex The Dog finally found his way home with the acclaimed EP “Sicko” last month and he’ll grace the decks with a live/DJ set. Dave DK will release his debut album “Val Meira” on April 27th… his single “Halma “ was just played on Jamie XX + Fourtet’s Eessential Mix - we anticipate that this year will bring one of Berlin’s best kept secrets to the masses. Nitsa resident DJ Fra is one of Kompakt’s earliest family members - as one half of Ferenc, his slow driving techno sets are not to be missed. Finally, Kompakt's humble leader and Nitsa resident Michael Mayer will be there to take you on a journey to the early morning. Following Friday's exclusive debauchery, Kompakt's Sunday afternoon Barcelona beach party has been an anticipated tradition year after year. Unfortunately, the beach is no longer an option this year - however, that certainly won’t stop us! One of the Netherlands' leading festival organisers, DGTL will host our artists all afternoon and into the night at an amazing outdoor location in Parc Del Forum. Here, you'll find Berlin’s Terranova at the helm, who will be releasing their second Kompakt album “Restless” on May 11th - expect nothing short of quality house music. Blond:ish know how to bring loads of fun to the party and their gender opposite duo Pachanga Boys are there to bring out the hippie in you. Kölsch is currently riding high with “Der Die Das”. Alongside the Brazilian bomb Gui Boratto, both sets will be guaranteed to deliver explosive energy. To round out the day, Michael Mayer teams up with French legend Agoria (riding high with his new single “Bapteme” on Kompakt) for a one-off back to back DJ set - their mutual love for melody and quality has all the makings to make this one of the most special sets of the entire week!
