Pop Ambient 2024 Art exhibition and music event
In addition to a wide variety of electronic music between danceable and "headable", Kompakt has always been known for its striking visual appearance. For its pop-like look. In addition to the "Kompakt dots" or the so-called "Kompakt eagle", which have been constantly varied over years, it is also the serial designs for the Pop Ambient compilation series by Veronika Unland that are increasingly finding their way into art institutions and galleries.
After various solo and group exhibitions in Paris, Cologne, Rome, Milan and Barcelona, the exhibtion of the current series Veronika Unland - Yellow is now taking place in Kompakt's own records shop on the occasion of the release of Pop Ambient 2024. In addition to a selection of works from previous years, the current fine art print on Dibiond edition (70cm x 70cm), limited to ten individual works, will also be on display. At the same time, there will be the 30cm x 30cm fine art print edition, also limited to ten individual works, in combination with the exclusive mini album "Grab" by Blank Gloss (Dubplate one-off production, also limited to ten copies only).
Both editions will be officially available from 23rd November via www.kompakt/art.
For the opening of the exhibition on 23rd November from 4 pm at Kompakt Schallplattenladen, there will be an ambient live set by Jens-Uwe Beyer an DJ set by Veronika Unland and of course mulled wine.

Neben unterschiedlichsten Spielarten der elektronischen Musik zwischen tanzbar und kopfbar, steht Kompakt auch schon immer für sein markantes, optisches Erscheinungsbild. Für seinen pop-artigen Look. Neben den über die Jahre immer weiter variierten „Kompakt Punkten“ oder dem sogenannten „Kompakt Adler“, sind es auch die seriellen Entwürfe für die Pop Ambient Kompilation Reihe von Veronika Unland, die zunehmend ihren Weg in die Kunstinstitutionen und Galerien finden.
Nach verschiedenen Solo- und Gruppenausstellungen in Paris, Köln, Rom, Mailand und Barcelona, findet nun anlässlich der Veröffentlichung von Pop Ambient 2024 die Ausstellung der aktuellen Serie Veronika Unland – Yellow bei Kompakt im hauseigenen Plattenladen statt. Neben einer Auswahl von Werken der vergangenen Jahre wird die aktuelle, auf zehn individuelle Einzelwerke limitierte Fine-Art Print auf 70cm x 70cm Dibond Edition, zu sehen sein. Parallel dazu gibt es die ebenfalls auf zehn Einzelwerke limitierte 30cm x 30cm Fine Art Print Edition in Kombination mit dem exklusiven Mini Album “Grab” von Blank Gloss (Dubplate Einzelanfertigung).
Beide Editionen werden ab dem 23.11.2023 offiziell über www.kompakt/art erhältlich sein.
Zur Ausstellungseröffnung am 23.11.2023 ab 16 Uhr im Kompakt Schallplattenladen, wird es ein Ambient Live Set von Jens-Uwe Beyer und DJ Set von Veronika Unland und natürlich Glühwein geben.
