As you might have noticed Superpitcher was honored with the French Qwartz Award for Best Album. The jury (composed of Robert Henke of Monolake fame and Arnaud Rebotini from former Black Strobe) decided that "Kilimanjaro" exhibits a discrete and timeless quality making it one of the best works out there. That puts our very own Superpitcher at eye level with electronic music luminaries like Morton Subotnick, Francis Dhomont or Elisabeth Valletti. If those names don't ring a bell we suggest you go and discover some of the weirdest, challenging and fascinating sounds around, for especially the French have a rich history in electro-acoustics, musique concrète and experimental music in general. And now back to the dancefloor: Superpitcher is playing some great gigs shortly, e.g. at Verona's Pika Club (April 27), Milano's Tunnel (April 28), Berlin's About Blank (May 12), Cologne's Total Confusion @ Stadtgarten (June 6), Paris' Cabaret Sauvage (June 30) and Nice's Hi Hotel (August 9). Plenty of festive opportunities there... so see you around!
