Wolfgang Voigt in a vernacular fashion

Cultural trespassing, that's the name of the game. At least the one that Wolfgang Voigt likes to play. Not only is he himself singing on this one, he also covers an old, vernacular children's song like only he could do it: weird and catchy at the same time. What's this song about? Well, for all you non-Germans out there, it's the story of Saint Martin, a Roman soldier who is celebrated for sharing his last belongings with a beggar. It's like a combination of Thanksgiving and Halloween, only without the fake blood or the egg-throwing, but with lots of bonfires and kids roaming in the streets, looking for sweets. Also, by pure intergalactic coincidence, Cologne's carnival started today (on the 11-11-2011 at 11:11), so the locals will use any odd reasoning to get drunk and plunge their hometown into chaos. For a short, beautiful moment, we're all members of mayhem.
